 "Just Google it" as the saying goes and you can find information on just about anything. So, I decided to learn how to make a website that would show up on page one for a Google search term.

Then I found the 'demon tweak' I was looking for, and had to build my own website!

After careful consideration and research here are the criteria for my website building tools:

1. Must be a complete set of tools, an all in one package. I didn't want to learn the hard way and jump from one tool to the next. I wanted all the tools, all in one place. (Engineer types are like that.)
2. Must have tutorials up the kazoo, so that I can learn everything (and stuff I didn't even know I needed to learn).
3. Must be an established, well respected company, no fly by night companies for me.
4. Must over-deliver. I didn't know what that meant at the time but I do now.
5. Must be easy to use and provide methods for problem solving such as help forums, how to tutorials and technical support.
6. Must be reasonably priced!

Okay, time for today's tip. The sad part about advertising is that it looks like advertising. Most web users just tune out the advertisements and ignore them. So how can you use them to your advantage if people are ignoring them?

It is all about placement and context. If you want to draw more attention to your most wanted response you need to make it stand out. One way to do that is to put it right underneath one of those real nice widgets that everyone ignores. This can draw attention to itself as it looks more important than the advertising.
